  • Do Alternate Nostril Breathing Exercise (ANlom Vilom)

“Anyone who has a sleeping problem should do alternate nostril breathing,” Dr. Raichur says. “It will reduce the Vata. It also helps balance the left and right hemispheres of the brain.”

  • Drink Warm Milk with Nutmeg Powder:

Milk contains L-tryptophan, an amino acid that’s a precursor to serotonin and melatonin, which both induce sleep. Nutmeg adds taste and acts as a sleep inducer itself.

  • Keep up your sleep hygiene to maintain a nice night’s rest.

Take a bath before bed and add some Lavender Essential Oil to the bathing water. It acts as a relaxant and helps in better and more calm sleep.

  • Get high thread count sheets and pillow cases to help avoid any pulling on the skin.

An undisturbed sleep is equally important as a timely sleep. Good quality bed sheets and pillows ensure lesser disturbance and smoothness. Also if a lil satin is there, it doesn’t harm our skin or hair.

  • Massage your feet with warm oil

There are over 7,000 nerve endings on each foot, so giving both a massage helps loosen the entire body. Massaging the feet increases blood circulation, eases out the stress from feet muscles and hence relaxes the body.
